Post-Surgery

The surgery went perfectly. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The surgery was quick (1/2 hr) and we were only separated for an hour. We had time to eat while waiting which was nice because we didn't eat much before we left home at 6 AM. The girls stayed overnight at Grandma's which really helped. The surgeon came in and talked to us after and said that everything went really well. It ended up that his testicle didn't grow on that side. He still has one and is fine fertility wise. He will just need to be more careful when playing sports not to injure the one he has. We got home that afternoon and he acted so normal. I gave him pain meds the first day and then he was fine. It was as if he didn't have anything happen to him. What a blessing. We even took off the steri-strips that covered the incision site (the stitches were inside) and it was healed perfectly. You can hardly see the scar and it may disappear completely eventually. I'm so greatful that everything turned out as well as it did!!!
